Error with pyton 2.00 runtime #74

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Phone model:
nokia 5230

Wordmobi version:
0.09(3)

Python version:
2.00

I had a problem on my phone so I had to delete all the memory.
I download again wordmobi and pyton 1.9.6 runtime, but when I tried to install
pyton 1.9.6 the
phone asked me if I wanted to replace the installed 2.00 version that comes
with the phone so I
answered no and kept the newest one.
Then I installed wordmobi, but when I try to launch it I get this error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "launcher.py", line 43, in <module>
    execfile('default.py', default_namespace)
  File "default.py", line 30, in <module>
    wordmobi.WordMobi().run()
File "C:\data\python\wordmobidir\wordmobi.py", line 119, in __init__
    Application.__init__(self, u"Wordmobi", Listbox( items, self.check_update_value ))
SymbianError: [Errno -1] KErrNotFound

Do I have to downgrade pyton to run wordmobi?

Python 2.0 is not publicly available yet and even though I can download it to
one of
my phones (5800) it is not running. I am waiting a public version of python 2.0
(for
all phones) before converting/testing wordmobi to/with 2.0. I am afraid to say
"yes,
go with 1.9.6" because I do not know the consequences of removing your (pre?)
installed version. In my case, I rejected the proposed update and I installed
1.9.6.

Me neiter, that's why I refuse to install your version when it asked me to
replace the preinstalled one I have.
The only thing that I'm not sure about is that the first time I tried to run
wordmobi I actually installed pyton 1.9.6
so maybe this 2.0 version comes with some other software I have on my phone.
I'll wait for you to update to pyton 2.0 and then I'll give wormobi a try.
Thanks for now.

Hello,
excuse me but i need a help.
I'm not an expert and i'm trying too to install wordmobi 0.9.3 on my Nokia 5800.
Me too i have Python 2.0 on it and wordmobi doesn't work... both 2 version...
Do I have to install Python 1.9.6?
Thank you very much.
Bye
Elo :-)

Yes, Python 1.9.6. The following combination should work (tested in 5800).
But you need to remove 2.0.

http://wordmobi.googlecode.com/files/Python_1.9.6.sis
http://wordmobi.googlecode.com/files/Wordmobi-0.9.3.sis

As I said, Python 2.0 is not publicly available yet and even though I can
download it
to one of my phones (5800) it is not running. I am waiting a public version of
python
2.0 (for all phones) before converting/testing wordmobi to/with 2.0.

Hi Marcelo,
thank you very much for your kindness (and Help).
I removed Python 2.0 and everything seems OK.
I installed your 2 softwares and seems OK: it works...
But, after I inserted the parameters, it can't connect with my blog.
In fact, if I try to update (first time) posts, Comments, ect. it doesn't
work...
I configured so.
Settings
BLOG
blog's account.
Name: Scuola per Eroi "Elo"
URL Blog: http://scuolapereroi.it
User: ...
Password: ...
API Key: ??? (what's this? I don't remember...)
PROXY
I don't know...
It's set so:
Disabled

Port 8080
User ???
Password ???
Can you help me again to set this parameters, please?
Like I told you I'm not an expert...
Thank you again.
I think that your software is very useful, to maximize the efficiency during
the day.
Hoping in your kind answer.
Have a nice day.

Your settings seem correct:

URL Blog: http://scuolapereroi.it
User: ...
Password: ..

You only need api_key to see blog statistics.

I tested the xmlrpc url and it is ok:

http://www.scuolapereroi.it/xmlrpc.php

Please, check if you enabled xmlrpc in your blog.
Section setup: http://code.google.com/p/wordmobi/wiki/Installing

Hi Marcelo,
thank you again for your Patience...
your section setup page was very useful...
So, now I remember the API key... I put it...
If I understood mine is a blog not hosted by Wordpress (with my domain)...
I also "understood" about xmlrpc and I activated...
Now I could download on my Nokia 5800 my Posts, Comments, Categories and Tags...
But the Statistics don't work... Trying to download them it says: "it's
impossible to
download the statistics. Try again." ... and then a white page full of scripts
appears... but SO FAST that's impossible to read anything...
OK... It's quite enough to work with your interesting and very useful software:
near everything works (a part Statistics)...
I tried to create a Post (like a Test) and it was near OK...
But, even if I put a text content: "Prova 1 testo", it pulished:
"Prova 1 testo brbrPubblicato da a
href=”http://wordmobi.googlecode.com”Wordmobi/a"
I imagined that you put for default the rest, but I think that it doesn't work
perfectly (brbr, a href)... I know that they are html codes, but I don't know
why
they are visible...
Anyway Thank you very much for your Help!!!
IF you can help me, at last, for Statistics and this (little) thing about your
insert
code... Thank you again...
Compliments for your Wonderful Utility!!!
Have a nice day.

Ah...
also about Statistics.
I tried to read the page for blogs not hosted by wordpress
(http://en.wordpress.com/features/stats/)... but it seems it doesn't work...
Firefox
can't open it...
Then I tried to open the page
http://stats.wordpress.com/csv.php?api_key=myAPIkey&blog_uri=www.scuolapereroi.i
t&blog_id=0&days=365&limit=-1
But it says: "Error: api_key does not belong to an administrator of blog"...
instead I have/use it and it works on my wordpress panel (on PC), to read
Statistics...
Of course I also Also enabled installation of any application in my mobile
phone and
disabled certification checks.

Hi

It seems that we have a problem with wordpress stats beyond wordmobi scope...

About my "promo line": it should be <br/><br/> with a link to wordmobi. I will
check
the translation to Italian, we may have a problem here. This line is added only
to
new posts created in wordmobi and you can remove it, just editing the post after
publishing it. Wordmobi is totally free and this footer line is my unique
advertisement. ;)

Hi Marcelo,
Now I understand about Stats... I hope it will be OK soon...
About your promo line... it's absolutely OK... I think it's right that you do
it...
But, effectively, probably it might be correct (at least in Italian)... You can
see
it on my site/blog www.scuolapereroi.it...
Thank you again for all.
Have a nice day.
Bye
Elo ;-)
