Both the API and MAP components change at different rates. They should probably be split into separate packages.

TODO

[ ] create googlemap package, migrate code & tests
[ ] create googleapi package, migrate code & tests
[ ] keep googleway, but use it only to load googlemap and googleapi, and issue startup message.
