Energy storage structures

Changes to GT electrical stations

Require more advanced materials seen in electrical stations:

Superconducting magnetic energy storage

Energy is stored in the magnetic field. Requires superconductors and cryogenic coolant to function.

Energy transfer

Diamond Anvil Cell

Diamond Anvil Cells could be used for late-game energy transfer, along with room temperature superconductors. When given energy, the diamond anvil cell would compress room-temperature superconductors to make them superconducting. Basically you need some energy to transfer the energy. This would require noble gases as a pressure source as you can't have pressure in a vacuum. This will not have anything to do with the GCYS pressure system as pressure cannot exactly be transferred out of a diamond anvil cell.

Wireless Energy Transfer

Energy can be converted into lasers with wavelength in the visible light spectrum. The lasers can then be beamed to any location that requires energy. The lasers are converted back to electricity using solar panels. Higher tiers of solar panels increase the percentage of energy that can be reabsorbed from lasers. It will have an infinite range as long as the destination and source are on the same dimension. However, longer ranges cause higher energy loss because air can absorb energy in the laser, and the maximum amount of energy that can be reabsorbed by solar panels is 50%, even with the best solar panels.

Some changes

Actual recipes for batteries:

You combine multiple anodes and cathodes with cables and a seperator material (like pvc) in an assembling machine to get a battery cell assembly. Those battery cells can then be filled with the appropriate electrolyte to make filled battery cells. Finally, you take multiple of those together with a hull and some more cables to make the actual battery.
