The current centrifuge in gregtech seems to be a decanter centrifuge, which is used for many separation tasks.
Name is self explanatory. It is already in game but a thermal centrifuge could be used to treat both liquids and solids, not just ores.
Mainly used to separate isotopes. Elements will have to be converted to a gaseous compound before being put in a gas centrifuge. For example, uranium hexafluoride and diethyl zinc.
A process to separate all the many different components of genetic material into several groups. Requires several steps. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differential_centrifugation#Procedure
Uses a solution of caesium chloride to separate genetic material. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buoyant_density_centrifugation
Also uses caesium in the separation process. Also used to separate genetic material. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultracentrifuge
Similar to chemical reactors, centrifuges also come in many different types.
Normal Centrifuge

Thermal Centrifuge

Gas Centrifuge
