Adding this issue after a conversation with Revencher wherein he brought up several ideas for features to include in later releases. This thread is intended to be a central repository for brainstorming on features that would be beneficial for later inclusion in the Syna3C platform.

Platform Wish List. (not finished)

  1. Rides-Share for people and supplies. a) Enter a given rout to and from event. b) Search/request rides to/from events. c) Offer/accept rides. d) Check in with picture of license plate, car and people sharing ride. e) Notification if driver veers to far from set rout. f) Panic feature that will alert if someone is in need of help (IE dispute between passengers and driver). g) Ability to share road conditions on rout. h) Message people sharing ride and people holding donations.

  2. Volunteers in Event area. a) Respond to request for help with in distance set by administrators of platform. b) Post a request for help. c) Post current conditions at their GPS location. d) Ability to send / receive messages with people they are helping and other volunteers in area. e) Map of conditions in area (IE map showing blocked roads, bridges and downed powerlines ect.).

  3. Shelters a) Post available resources at current site (IE space available at shelter, food, medical supplies). b) Request support and supplies. c) Their location, contact information and conditions at site. d) Request transportation. e)

  4. Organizations a) Request people with specific skill sets and location they are needed. b) Check conditions event wide. c) Share supplies with other organizations d) Set rally points for volunteers and drop-off locations for donations and supplies e) Offer transportation and accommodation. f) Request transportation. g)

  5. Aid Agencies a) Request people with specific skill sets and location they are needed. b) Check conditions event wide. c) Check last known positions of volunteers d) Set points of interest such as rally points and aid stations. e) Offer transportation and accommodation. f) Request transportation. g)

  6. People in need of assistance a) Post assistance needed b) Current conditions in area c) Communicate with volunteers that have responded to request.

  7. Social Network Platform a) Ability for admin to turn off in event area.

  8. Database of volunteers and their skill sets a) Accessible by aid agencies, organization and shelters. b) Should list what the volunteer is willing to do and how to contact them. c) Allow volunteers to post resumes or skill sets, location, contact information,

Platform a) Track location of volunteers in transit to and from event and in event area b) Must be as reliable as possible c) Download site content to device in a way that allows people to check content even when internet is not available. d) Must be compatible with a mesh network and if possible have a mesh network inter-graded. e) The ability to turn features on and off and add new features. f) Must have low data usage (maybe after site is downloaded it will update as needed). g) Ease to use. h)
