This is a great suggestion. In addition to section transform changes and where the alignments originated, what other kinds of information would you like to track?
Those are the major items I can think of other than a descriptive comment. For example, I could see having 2 divergent alignments after a fold on section "10." Adding a comment to "alignment_02" to say "above fold on section 10 to end of series" or something like that could be useful when trying to determine what alignment to use for different objects.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
In a series where I'm having to employ multiple alignments (>20) it would be helpful if I could denote some details about an alignment (ie what sections were changed, what alignment I started from when making this alignment, etc.)
Describe the solution you'd like
an additional column in the alignment menu that allows the user to add comments
Describe alternatives you've considered
keeping track outside of PyRec
