Call to undefined method JUser::getAuthorisedGroups() #2

Hi, I just ran this on a joomla 1.6 and it comes back with this error:

Call to undefined method JUser::getAuthorisedGroups() in .. /site/jm2grav/db_config.php on line 37

I copied it to my joomla folder and ran markdown.php from there, while logged in as admin.

Is it possible it's not reading the joomla includes somehow?
