Also, somewhere in the middle of the whole thing, we have a paragraph on SIRF examples, which doesn't really belong there.
Suggestion:
do a similar docker/README.md, pointing to a docker/USAGE.md file, containing the info now in the main README, and a docker/INSTALL.md with the essentially the content of the current docker/README.md.
rewrite the above paragraph in the main README a bit, including just a pointer to the examples wiki, and remove the "examples" paragraph
optionally move nearly all of the info in the main README to an INSTALL.md (or CMAKE_INSTALL.md) and point to that
Since the docker re-org, the main README is not quite consistent https://github.com/SyneRBI/SIRF-SuperBuild/blob/8ca50676b4b3140beb960dc76f2f6ef5d2468ba4/README.md?plain=1#L13-L16 vs https://github.com/SyneRBI/SIRF-SuperBuild/blob/8ca50676b4b3140beb960dc76f2f6ef5d2468ba4/README.md?plain=1#L49-L51
Also, this main README now gives detail on docker but nothing on the VM.
I personally like the VM README.
