tvheadend: tv adapter list empty while DVB-T stick works with Videostation (DSM4.1 beta) #198

I am running DSM4.1 on a DS111 and a DVB-T stick with a videostation. The stick is recognized (IT9135 chip) as Zolid Mini DVB-Stick. Channels are scanned and found with Videostation and livestream television is working.

I however want to use TVheadend + Oscam, so I installed these packages from the Synocommunity. TVheadend runs, however in settings, tv adapter, the dvb-stick is not listed.

In dev/dvb, three adapters are listed: adapter0, adapter1 and adapter2. The user and group are root:root and the permissions are set to 755 (directory) and 666 (files). I have restarted and re-installed TVHeadend. I have hard resetted the Synology multiple times. Still no TV adapter listed.

Any idea why the stick is not listed? any suggestion to make this work?

Ok, solved the issue:

1) Uninstalled Videostation 2) SSH to Synology and ran:

find /dev/dvb -type c -exec chmod 666 {} \;

3) rebooted the Synology

The DVB stick was now listed as TV Adapter in TV headend.
