Someone who has successfully built this package with permission fixed in DSM 7.x and latest open-vm-tools upgrade applied.

Make sense when running DSM on VMware hypervisor - what I was used to do as test environment for packages experiments.

Still doesn't works, it performs a "brutal shutdown"

@aigors in #5279 you find binaries that run. But service configuration is not yet ready (and may not work on DSM 7).
