mistergoodwin commented 11 years ago

Was just about to ask this myself. I believe so.

Re: SynoCommunity is glad to announce its new repo

Postby bud77 » Sat Jun 15, 2013 9:17 am Correct URL is http://packages.synocommunity.com/

But we're having SQL issues right now, this will be fixed very soon :(

migwell2 commented 11 years ago

Is there a mirror, or another way to install HTS TVHeadEnd package ? Good luck with fixing this issue. Regards.

gwendak commented 11 years ago

Hope you get it up soon.

Have to re-install SABnzbd, but all synocommunity packages are missing on my nas.

Nonobis commented 11 years ago

error on synocommunity website ... only if nobody have seen it :)

Diaoul commented 11 years ago

We're working on restoring the database. @piwi82 will report progress on this issue.

dutchdude1966 commented 11 years ago

Good luck resolving this issue ! Thx for the update !

Diaoul commented 11 years ago

You can follow us on Twitter at @SynoCommunity for live updates.

slawo commented 11 years ago

I just found out about your repo. Shame it's broken. Can't you publish a static (old cached) version of the repo until the DB is fixed?

piwi82 commented 11 years ago

The repo is back.

filin20 commented 11 years ago

great work :+1:

dutchdude1966 commented 11 years ago

Thanks again !

mikeo999 commented 10 years ago

Repo is down again.

jaedb commented 10 years ago

Repo is down again

miguelhd commented 10 years ago

Repo seems to be down again :/

Diaoul commented 10 years ago

It is down, we'll fix this ASAP.

Diaoul commented 10 years ago

Domain is renewed for 3 years. Everything should go back to normal shortly. Thanks for your patience.

Robpollard commented 10 years ago

Down again?

Diaoul commented 10 years ago

Yes, we're migrating to a new server.

rianbk commented 10 years ago

ETA?

mikkelnl commented 10 years ago

Meanwhile, is there a mirror maybe?

piwi82 commented 10 years ago

No ETA, no mirror. You just have to wait for good news.

rianbk commented 10 years ago

Any updates?

Robpollard commented 10 years ago

I'm a little bit desperate with a defunct python and therefore no running nzb-apps, if I can somehow (financially?) contribute to making the repo available again, please contact me.

Diaoul commented 10 years ago

Should be back within a few days.

jjnj023 commented 10 years ago

In the meantime is it possible to get the Python version needed for transmission etc for my ds213j? You guys seem the only ones providing it.

ghost commented 10 years ago

I guess a man could compile/install the packages himself but this would be a lot more complicated than waiting a few days until everything is back up.

Dr-Bean commented 10 years ago

@pixilarion Indeed, although it's not too bad once you get the hang of it ;) Do note that, depending on the package, you could end up with unreleased versions of packages, which has an inherit risk.

Patrick1610 commented 10 years ago

aaaaargh!!! I really want to install sickbeard and headphones (and the necsessary python versions) asap to my NAS. Is there really no other way or site to get them for a DS214Play?

stephanecodes commented 10 years ago

I found a quite simple way to compile a spk package of the synocommunity :

Hints :

For example use arch-armada370 if you have a DS213j.

I was able to successfully compile CouchPotatoServer Custom SPK from scratch in less than an hour ^^

Hope that helps. stej4n.

rianbk commented 10 years ago

If we compile our own and then the repo comes up, will we be able to update our compiled apps. Or will it not work

bitking commented 10 years ago

Any ETA on SynoCommunity getting back online?

jnsn commented 10 years ago

@simwah, my guess is you'll need to uninstall your own package and install the repo package as there is probably no way those two packages can be linked together.

But making a backup of your configuration files and re-installing the repo package should not be that big of an issue.

grimrod42 commented 10 years ago

Hi Any update when the synocommunity will be back up? Last message was 4 days ago.

twistedgecko commented 10 years ago

@stej4n I can compile sickbeard and sabnzbd, but cannot get python to compile. I get "ImportError: No module named _struct"

Any thoughts?

moneytoo commented 10 years ago

@twistedgecko https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/978#issuecomment-42745918

twistedgecko commented 10 years ago

Cheers @moneytoo I will give it a shot when I get home :)

Diaoul commented 10 years ago

@piwi82 doesn't have much time to put back the old repo on the new server. No ETA on this side.

On my side I'm actively working on the new repo and I'll push it to GitHub (spkrepo) as soon as I get most of the features working. ETA is 2-3 days. Help is welcome on server administration (configuration, security) and repo development (content and admin parts, Python Flask + Jinja2 skills required).

stephanecodes commented 10 years ago

@twistedgecko Try to download python spk here (don't know if it will be available for a long time...) https://www.dropbox.com/sh/aiz3migoap42b7s/AABHlfR7fvQGr8VwBat-xgyWa

Source (french) : http://www.nas-forum.com/forum/topic/41312-spk-python-synocommunity/

grimrod42 commented 10 years ago

Will the new repo have The same URL?

Diaoul commented 10 years ago

Yes of course. You won't have to change anything. @Dr-Bean: are we ready for a new release of Python?

Dr-Bean commented 10 years ago

@Diaoul With a todo list of some minor items, yep: remove duplicity, add firmware flag, add beta flag. I could merge the above stuff tomorrow or the day after, but if you're in a position to get it done quickly, go ahead.

New wheels won't affect the SPK itself, so no worries there. For 2.7.6-9 we'll start converting existing modules to wheels, to ease future development.

Sorry guys, stupid drop box shut me down....

Dr-Bean commented 10 years ago

@wouter0100, is your VPS up for the next couple of days, until the SC-repo is reinstated? If so, mind if we use the link here to direct people to it?

Wouter0100 commented 10 years ago

Currently the website is hosted on a simple webhosting, it's UP 24/7 :). URL: http://synology.w01.eu/

Dr-Bean commented 10 years ago

Is it up for another round of hammering then? ;)

Btw, this time, you might want to add the Python packages too. However, there's a catch: there are two versions, one for DSM4, one for DSM5 (for each arch, obviously). Would it be possible for you to cover that?

Dr-Bean commented 10 years ago

@moccadrengen There's a link near the top of the page, so you can determine which package to use for your model's architecture. Based on you mentioning 88f6282, you need to use the 88f6281 package.

Diaoul commented 10 years ago

@moccadrengen: 88f628x @Dr-Bean: I was thinking a public release for python, not beta. That's possible?

Dr-Bean commented 10 years ago

@Diaoul Ah, well, sure. I added the flag based on our previous conversation in another issue to beta first, but for all I know, it works perfectly fine without that flag ;) /edit: as an assurance, the core Python package hasn't been touched, and currently, there are only two packages that (could) rely on the wheel addition if they were published. Both aren't yet.

rianbk commented 10 years ago

@Dr-Bean @Diaoul If we use a compiled version from @wouter0100 site, will we be able to update the package via the repo or is there some form of link between the app and the repo that @jnsn suggested above.
