This PR aims to replace all occurrences of master to main across the repository.

A side-effect of the rename is making the GH Pages unavailable:

I tried to change the source for GH Pages to the /docs folder on main and then back to / (root) again but it didn't seem to do the trick.

Perhaps another PR can be made from this branch against main? Or from develop to main?
