I followed the Installing Guix as a Complete GNU/Linux System video in an Asus R540MA-GQ757 laptop. The problem is that it failed at detecting the network connection so, although I have tried to, I can't complete the instalaltion because I have no internet connection. Moreover, the laptop doesn't have Ethernet port, so I can't use that method.
The message the installation manager gave me was, exactly:
Internet access
The install process requires Internet access but no network devices were found. Do you want to continue anyway?
I suspect the problem is the RTL8821CE, the laptop's Wi-Fi chip because when installing any Linux distro, I have to install the RTL8821CE drivers manually. I don't know if I can install them before the graphical installer asks me for internet connection or if they can be included in the .iso.
I have made a repository (this one) explaining how to install the drivers for the RTL8821CE once you have installed the Linux distro, maybe it's helpful for this issue (because they could be installed similarly).
