How did you change the retail copy to volume? Usually, You use retail for retail, volume for KMS/MAK if I understand properly.
@thatsysadmin there are several scripts out there which converts you retail installation to an KMS Version. For example: https://github.com/Wind4/vlmcsd/issues/20#issuecomment-512235929
@Knightr1702 take a look at this issue: https://github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts/issues/20 It seems the only fix for this problem is to reinstall 😫
Turn off KMS Client Online AVS Valdation
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Software Protection Platform] "NoGenTicket"=dword:00000001
I have a computer with an older install and just had this happen on a fresh install of Windows 10 with the Office Pro 2019 Retail to Volume conversion. Office Pro 2019 will activate through KMS and will be ok until the latest Office update installs. Once office restarts it will come up with the Office not Genuine Message. If I uninstall Office Pro 2019 Retail and install Office Pro 2019 Volume, activate and update there is no not Genuine message that appears at any point. Do you know of any fix for the Retail version from becoming not Genuine after the latest update? Thanks for your help.
