Possible Bug with / Command #5

Closed grayerbeard closed 1 week ago

grayerbeard commented 2 months ago

I have put the SS-Sync folder under my "templates" folder.

folder structure in use

When I use the / command it only lists small number templates (The ones directly under SS-Syncs and not Fabrric ones and only others if front matter added) not the fabric templates or any other templates.

I note I need to add front matter to any template for it to be luisted even if its put in folder with the others.

Please check its functioning is as you intended and explain any requirements or restrictions on folders used.

Interesting; yes, each template must have the following properties: name, description, model, max tokens, tags. Have you updated the location of where you are calling the templates from? You need to check these 2 settings:

  1. Make sure that Show SS-Syncs is turned on
  2. The template folder location is set to your custom location since I see you have put it inside of templates instead of the default SystemSculpt/Templates.

There actually needs to be several settings either direct of implied:

Folder for General Templates (e.g. in my case New Notes or Dairy Notes) – That get used by Templater or Periodic Notes.

Folder For SS Synced Templates that get overwritten when A SS Synch is Done and

Folder for Other AI Templates that Don’t Get Overwritten,

Of course you could make everyone put their non SS AI related templates in your folder but that does not seem like good idea, its making people change settings in other Plugins.

However it’s all probably achievable in a way suites you it’s just something to figure out.

(People they just …..)

  1. Make sure that Show SS-Syncs is turned on
  2. The template folder location is set to your custom location since I see you have put it inside of templates instead of the default SystemSculpt/Templates.
