Feature request: flexible alignment of refernece/areafit #3

Currently it is only possible to align map "center" wither in the middle of the picture, or on the edges. In my scenario I need it aligned in one third, which is impossible in current API, and requires a bit of beforehand calculations.

Your goal is to give a reference position, for example, which does not define the center of the map, but is located somewhere else on the printed map? Maybe, you could give a MWE (minimal working example) to explain what you would like to do, resp. what beforehand calculations you do for your application.

I am not sure, if a non centered approach can be done easily, but, maybe, there is some best effort workaround.
