As a temporary workaround, I made a LUA script that forces 1:1 PAR via paddings. This is the expected behaviour of 1:1 pixel size option and is the way it was in 2.4.0:
I fixed the 1:1 pixel setting. I don't understand what you're saying with the other stuff. I set a 256x240 fixed size (there is no fixed window size option) and get sensible results no matter what I do.

When trying 2.4.2 the first thing I noticed is that in fullscreen mode, everything looked stretchy. I then found out that the setting "Use 1:1 pixel size" is not working anymore. It worked in 2.4.0. It still does not works in the latest interim also. I was able to find some closed fixed issue aboiut that with a tag of "fixed in 2.4.2", but the issue seem to still be here.
Besides 1:1 pixel setting not working at all, 2 other aspect ratio settings go haywire as well. I am unable to set the window size to the specified values in exact resolution. For NES, I can set 123*123 and it is 123*123. If I set it to 256*240, it stretches to fill fullscreen instead. Same with custom ratio option - trying to set it to AxA still makes it odd values instead of square pixels.
This issue is present in NES/SNES and few other cores, but not in all of them - SMD, GB and N64 seem to work fine.
