Searching the forums is currently forum-wide-only, which returns far too many unwanted results if you need to find e.g. a specific post/quote/etc. but don't have exact search terms in mind. This is a default feature of phpBB (2 and later) and most other forums, to note. Combining this with searching for posts by a specific user is particularly powerful and warranted as it usually gets the job done in cases like this.
