Refactor flow #44

Reworked the e2e flow to use files to keep state, making the experience easier, and removing steps.

Also testing it in CI

cc @angiejones @kirahsapong a bit of a tidy up for review based on observations of how people have been tripped up (and runs the e2e as part of CI now)
