The captured picture looks dim somehow and this is reflected in dim ambilight. Could this be related to HDR an/ or Dolby Vision? Is it possible to make the image brighter?

I can confirm dim picture in hyperion preview. There is also some strange half transparent panel on the top of the captured image. I don't know if it will affect ambilight, as I haven't completed my build yet. LG OLED55CXRLA webos 5.2.1 fw 03.21.18

This is the LED preview. To hide it, press the left button in the preview. :grinning:
This indeed it. Thx. I'm new to hyperion, was using ambibox + arduino in my previous ambilight build :) Could dim image and compression artifacts also be caused by hyperion preview and not by piccap app on TV?
Having the same while Dolby Vision is on. OLED65B1CRLA webOS 6.2

I tried to capture this somehow. This is a screenshot of the live preview:
This is a screenshot from the original video (I played a 4k video via youtube on my tv and on my laptop):
It looks like the preview image is darker than the original one. But this could be also because its a preview. My setup currently works pretty fine, but my personal impression is that the leds could be brighter, like they are running currently on 70% brightness. But I dont have an external video grabber for compareism.
Does any one know if the preview is exactly the same image that hyperion processes? Or is it a low quality version?
I think I have the same issue, colors are dimmer and less saturated when HDR is enabled on my OLED65B6V :
