behavior back button on search screen not working after update to android 15

Description

after update to android 15, the behaviors option for for back button on desktop search does not work. this worked for me on a14.

Context

having a shortcut for back button when on search desktop does not work. tried several options none work.

Steps to Reproduce

in settings-behavior- behavior section- desktop mode search- back button- any option

Expected behavior

swipe back have shortcut trigger. I use lock screen normally for this.

• Device: pixel 8a
• OS: android 15
• TinyBit Launcher version: 7.5 rev1

I cannot reproduce this issue with https://github.com/TBog/TBLauncher/releases/tag/v7.5-dev.1 on Android 15 (GrapheneOS). Disclaimer: only tested with the back gesture, so by swiping from the screen edge to the middle.

If you use the go to lock screen option for this, could it be that the update to Android 15 has revoked the Device Admin permission for TBLauncher?

that's what I thought but it still has those permissions. In addition the back gesture works to lock from the widget desktop. just not the search desktop. I've tried rebooting. wiping cache, etc.

I also tried to set it to other actions, I. e. pull down notif shade but nothing works on desktop search back gesture/button.

That's odd, I've explicitly tried it from the Search desktop, as you instructed.

Perhaps you could try flipping these settings under Behavior and try again to get more context:

• Link keyboard to search bar visibility (OFF for me)
• "Back" action when closing keyboard (ON for me)
• Initial desktop (Desktop Search with keyboard for me)

this worked!

link keyboard to search visibility seems to be the culprit. with it "off" it works but with it "on" it does not.
