5 Lessons Limit Setting #1

Each user should be able to view 5 lessons only before being prompted to buy the subscription.

Maybe you could have a profile setting that has a number. By default it will be 5. Every time the user opens a lesson, they will be asked to unlock it (if they have enough lessons in their account).
