@hbrock I presume you mean "not JDK 8", in which yes it is; a restriction imposed by Google App Engine.

@hbrock, regardless of OS, you should be able to install multiple versions of the JDK, so it's not required for you to setup a VM just for this.

This is my first attempt to contribute in an open source project. I'm excited, but nervous. I am currently working getting Eclipse setup and configured. If I have any questions, I'll definitely post them here.
