Status/Instructions area + gui re-arranging + various bug fixes #159

Only the new feature - status/instructions area commit is new in this pull request. The rest have already been merged to main.

  1. Removed the zoom slider. We can zoom in and out using vertical scrolling. If this is controversial, I'll put it back there.
  2. Added status and instructions areas at the bottom of the UI. The statusArea hosts the status messages from the model (loaded, processing etc ). The instructionArea displays instructions for each GUI element you hover on. For now it only works for the "process" and the "play" buttons.
