I recommend to extract codimd (hackmd) markdown renderer https://github.com/hackmdio/codimd

Edit: seems it's now https://github.com/hedgedoc/hedgedoc

Edit2: or not, seems expo has a doc on rich text now with stuff about markdown https://docs.expo.dev/guides/editing-richtext/
