try resetting your Inertia settings by removing the "Inertia" folder located in the .minecraft folder, then come back and tell us if that has solved your issue or not
Also remove the fabric api, Inertia does not need it.

I am running the latest version of MultiMC and using Fabric mod loader, with the Fabric API downloaded. Is there anything that I'm doing wrong? I'm using 1.16.5.
