ChromeVox: Google Books reads word-by-word #64

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Read a "flowing text" book on Google Books

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of reading the text normally, ChromeVox reads the text in a disjointed,
word-by-word manner. This is because of Google Books' protection scheme, which
weaves dummy words into the text, splits the text into separate spans for each
word, and uses CSS to prevent the dummy word spans from displaying.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
chromevox 1.18.0
chrome 19.0.1061.1 dev mac

Please provide any additional information below.

To make sure I understand this bug:

To read the book, you are using the Cvox+Down key to move to the next
paragraph. ChromeVox will read the entire paragraph, but the output sounds bad.

Is that correct?
