Thanks for your remark. Unfortunately, we are not able to ensure the compatibility of our package with any outdated technology. We thank you for your understanding and hope that you can use our package with one of the systems that are tested for CRAN by default.

Given the nature of the error, it does look like a bug in the code. NaNs should not be confused with 0.

This is with gcc12 and R 4.3.1, not too outdated.
