MSN Server Error 204 #82

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Login with a normal account.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
After 2 connection established callbacks, I'd get another callback with MSN
server error 204.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.5.3 on Windows 2000.

Please provide any additional information below.
I've switched to 2.5.3 for a couple of days and things are working fine.
All of a sudden I started getting server error 204 and I havn't been able
to login with any account.
However, I can still login using MS's MSN client.
Has anyone encounter this problem?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,

204 is a informational message that is your contact is invalid network type.
harukohally@hotmail.com seems yahoo contact, but it is address is @hotmail.com
Official client is ignores informational messages, but we are processing all
messages. This is not error and you connect successfuly.

204 6 66
<ml><d n="hotmail.com"><c n="harukohally" l="3" t="32" /></d></ml>

l=3 OnAllowedList,OnForwardList
t=32 is Yahoo network, it must be 1, PassportMember...

I have deleted this contact and re-added... It is ok now...

Hi,

Thank you for the quick response.

I also found this kind of inconsistencies in my other live accounts and I was
able
to get rid of the server error by delete/re-adding the contacts.
However, do you have any idea what might cause the inconsistencies?
Something that MS server did? or a unforeseen bug in the library?
