If the infected get locked in a room with windows and/or the detective has blocked off the area with walls, it is effectively unplayable as the infected cannot hit anything else but players, making it so they can't break through anything.

Let the infected fist do damage to the world, like in my case windows and breakable walls including the detective Fortnite builder.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Just making the fists damage windows/walls should be fine, but maybe having a heavy attack where it does more damage(while also breaking windows/walls) but also stops any other movement of the infected until the 2/3 sec. attack is done.
But the idea is to allow infected to destroy terrain and for the horde to quickly swarm people.
