Windows 8? #215

Unfortunately, I have my problems on Windows 8 with the GtkRadiant.

The GtkRadiant crashes mostly from the start immediately. To 5% I can start the program normally!

If I'm lucky then comes the GUI to the fore and is always: the textures can not be found (gtkradiant failed to load textures/radiant/notex). I use the latest version! The other builds go also not :( Version: GtkRadiant-1.6.4-20130802

Need the program for Quake 2!!

Only the NetRadiant goes, but he makes his problems.

Windows 8 compatibility mode is also not and have tried everything.

Normally the GkRadiant should have no problems with Win8, hmmm.

GtkRadiant works well only with Quake 3

If I want to use the GtRadiant for Quake 2 then there is a crash while loading.

With the id tech 2 games, the program has so difficulties. The game packs for Quake 2 does certainly still problems.

I have not yet figured out where the problem lies....

Sorry but Quake II is not supported in GtkRadiant 1.6

You can find the list of supported games on this page: http://icculus.org/gtkradiant/developers.html

And you can also read the mission statement on the front page to understand why a game is or isn't supported in GtkRadiant 1.6: http://icculus.org/gtkradiant/

Basically there is no developer interested in updating and maintaining Quake II support at this time.

Oh actually, ignore what I said. We should be getting Quake 2 support with the work @jdolan is doing. See issue #185
