TVRename will only run once #960

I have installed Version 4.96 on Windows 10 Pro N, version 22H2, build 19045.2965. For the past several versions (4.93 was the prior installed version), I have noticed that TVRename.exe sits in a running state and scheduled runs of TVRename in the command line interface, do not scan my folders anymore. I thought the /hide switch meant TVRename would stay running until scans completed. TVRename remains active until I stop the process or reboot. It does not close on its own. The command line I am using (and have for many moons) is:

TVRename /scan /doall /ignoremissing /unattended /hide

If I stop the TVRename.exe process, I can get the command above to run, though again, the process does not close on its own and no files are found to process in the scan folder. I looked at the wait chain, and it shows a message that 'one or more threads of TVRename are waiting to finish network I/O'. MY network drive containing my scan folders stays mapped all the time, so I don't this is related to network drive instability. However, the thread never completes.

Attempts to run TVRename gui also do not work when the TVRename.exe process is already running, as I suspect TVRename is a single-instance application: clicking on the icon reattaches to the same instance that is waiting on the thread that is not being closed. I have to end the TVRename process before I can run and see the application gui. From the gui, I can scan my folders manually and perform moving/renaming, etc.

Please fix - this has been happening for a while now.

Try /quit as well as /hide

That worked, thanks. Previously, I had /quit without /hide and it used to work until a month or two ago. I tried /hide without /quit and that didn’t work either. Thanks for suggesting both parameters – the TVRename process ends as it should.
