Access to the old website #4

Open lfoppiano opened 5 years ago

Hi, I've noticed that in the github version, there are quite many missing images and content, as compared with the online version. Do you know if anybody has access to it? Would be great to download all the content directly from the ftp I think.

I'll ask Alok as well.

We have to excavate a lot to find some usable backup. I will archive anything available as a backup in this repository [1] as independent branches. The last available backup of FTP from a local machine is here [2], but it is a mixed bag and almost identical to the old website in [3]. Please write to the committee for getting more help on that.

I've got access to the ftp and downloaded... but I cannot push on the archive project

@lfoppiano, please issue a pull request to 2019-08-20_luca-ftp branch, feel free to edit the ´README.txt´ as well. Before each commit, please verify and remove any private information as well.

I've copied what was from the ftp, which is public, which private information you mean? Did you have to remove any information when you pushed the other branches?

@lfoppiano, Since the TWMC/archive repository, is intended to be maintained as an 'archive,' there are branch protection rules [1], which will prevent any push from collaborators in-order to preserve the integrity of the archive. So you may need to issue a pull request to the branch instead of push. Please let me know if there are any issues.
