news page and news management #7

I've just noticed that the news page is empty, and the news are not easily manageable... (at least I did not undertand).

Could be possible to automatically show just the activities tagged as "news" in the news feed only? Ideally we would use that for the getting-together and other few regular event (not the hikes)

The new section was cut down to the current structure, as per the recommendation of the webmaster. There was only get together notices, so I assume that serves the purpose.

The activities are not intended to include news or gettogether notices; I was not aware that it is used for another purpose as well. In the future, we can plan a separate section for the get-together, which can be included in the news as well as in calendar view. Existing non-activity kinds of stuff from that section can be moved out when we do a quality check and manual verification of migrated content.

@nishad I would fix that now, and move the getting-together where they belongs. Ideally we should explain this in the committee. The more we wait the more activities we will have to fix.

The content from the old website is all migrated and validated, anyway, although 5 years are missing...
