Identify 40 most used extensions

Main goal is to translate 40 most used extensions. so which are those

Is it possible to extract something general from TER for v8 and v9? There's download statistics for each extension - I guess there must be data available ..

Just to resume: We're only translating extensions that is available in TER right? And only extensions for (E)LTS versions? And the developer of an extension need to 'activte something' for translation action? Today, they need to make a ticket at Forge .. Do we have other requirements?

the plan is that extensions can enable their extension on e.g. extensions.typo3.org and then the project will be created automatically on Crowdin

Looks about right! I still think we need some kind of procedure to mark/rank extensions so we dont end up like Pootle with hundreds of deprecated and insecure extensions in Crowdin. But that's probably another issue.
