Dear CoreAPI developers, I would love to see this feature in the master branch.. Which changes are necessary for the master branch? Please let me know!

Dear CoreAPI developers, can you please enforce merging this pull request? It is already 9 Month old, and have a year on waiting

I haven't followed our release workflow. So I
