In this case, it may be better to instead state that filter undead shows all entities that have the undead tag, rather than saying it filters out all entities that do not have the undead tag. It makes it very difficult for a user to understand.

Our team does not think the phrasing here is difficult to understand. Additionally, there is even a pictorial example given illustrating this.

Reason for disagreement: From a reader's standpoint, mentioning things like filter out makes it difficult for the reader to understand. This problem is made worse when it is phrased in a way such that the team is filtering out those without the tag. Clarity will definitely be better if the team just mentions directly that only the ones with the tags are shown
