Jekyll does, in fact, have this functionality built in. As long as I build the page templates right, all the links should be resolved at build-time.
Note to self, though, just because it works on my machine doesn't mean it will work when pushed -
The subdirectory-like URL structure GitHub uses for Project Pages complicates the proper resolution of URLs. In order to assure your site builds properly, use [these] handy URL filters.
So I should probably push and let it build from the dev branch before I eff around with it further.
