The controls work in the menus, but don't work in game, the retroarch menu hotkeys still bring the menu up ingame.

Thanks a very lot, it worked, for the button. Can you give me please all the original "minigui" M17 folder ? Because I just realized that I unintentionnaly removed all the original folder ? (sorry)

Polarzz commented 7 months ago

You should use https://github.com/Takiiiiiiii/M17-Handheld/tree/main/BetterStockSD/minigui , but replace those four files with the old ones

Here is the entire original minigui folder: minigui.zip

Thanks a very lot, I wanted to recover the original M17 SD card.

But yeah, in fact, the Better Stock SD minigui with the 4 original M17 files works better, it replace the good X and Y buttons, and I can access the Retroarch menu in game. I have it in an other SD card (so that I have this and the original M17 SD card).

I have the same problem, and in addition, every menu in every emulator looks like this: M17 menu So everything is unusable. Is no one else seeing this?

Restoring the four files game, gamedidian, retroarch and _retroarchold restored playability and restored the menus to English, but still left the machine with multiple problems. Unlike stock firmware, 16:9 games are resized to 4:3 and there seems to be no option to use the whole screen; the game menus looks wrong (in CPS3 and "NES hacks" it does not highlight the selected game and looks odd, see picture; meanwhile in all other systems, thumbnails are much smaller than before and all metadata of all games is shown as "UNKNOWN"); I'm not sure how N64 works on stock firmware, but not only is everything unplayable (probably the CPU/GPU is too slow), but the left side of the screen is filled with 'debug' information and I can't find a way to turn it off. So, time to restore all original files I think. M17 menu 0
