Add Parents' Nationalities to Candidate Registration / Intake #129

From Nourhan -

I am reaching out to discuss a challenge that we have been experiencing with regards understanding the exit permits for Syrian nationals in Lebanon. One of our candidates has mentioned that he is a legal resident of Lebanon due to his mother's Lebanese nationality. In order to properly understand the situation, is it possible to add a section to our intake process or the TBB form specifically asking about the candidate's parents' nationalities.

For example, if a candidate is Syrian and both parents are also Syrian, we need to ask how they are legally present in the country in details, I know that we ask about it during the intake but can we add what is the expiry date for this legal permit? Conversely, if a candidate is Syrian but one parent is Lebanese, they may be considered a legal resident through that parent's nationality. As we expand our reach to more source countries in Africa, this issue may become more prevalent, as some countries have citizenship laws due to the parent's nationality that may depend on a case-by-case scenario.

Some candidates have informally shared this information during the intake process, but we currently do not have a dedicated section or detail question regarding direct family member's nationalities and how long are they legally present in their source country. It would be helpful to have a concrete system in place to gather this information in a standardized way.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this matter with you further and explore potential solutions for future opportunities! fyi <@U03MXDHSG6L> <@U533RSR4J> <@ULWFN901J>

There's some internal debate about whether to do this or not - pick it up in Noura's workshop.
