The requested changes introduce 3 additional travel and residence document types. As well as Passport, the ask is to also capture information regarding any Travel Document(s), Resident Permit(s) and/or Visa(s) held.

A brief summary of how these document types differ:

Passport: A passport is an official government-issued document that certifies the identity and nationality of the holder primarily for the purpose of international travel.

Travel Document: Travel documents are issued to individuals who cannot obtain a passport from their home country. They serve as a substitute for a passport and allow the holder to travel internationally, though the countries they can enter with such documents might be limited.

Resident Permit: A resident permit is a document or card that confirms the right of a foreign national to reside in a country other than their own for an extended period. It can be temporary or permanent. They usually grant the holder the right to work, study, and access certain public services.

Visa: A visa is an endorsement or stamp placed within a passport that grants the holder permission to enter, leave, or stay for a specified period of time in a country. They come with conditions regarding the duration of stay, the areas within the country the holder can visit, and whether or not the holder can work.
