Not syncing with Google Reader #151

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Configure pRSSReader to sync with Google Reader (provided login
details)
2. Update All (a number of times) after reading items
3. Google Reader shows items as unread

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expecting Google reader to be inline with pRSSReader, so when I mark item
read it updates Google reader, just like mGoogle Reader

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.4.4. WM 6.1

Please provide any additional information below.

Sometimes the Google syncing works! sometimes not..... certainly the two get
out of
step and items in Google reader show as unread, when they have been marked as
read
via pRSSReader.
I'm trying to capture more information about what steps cause this to happen.

I have spotted that sometimes I get an "Unauthenicated" type message... could
it be
that an attempt to set item as read is not received by Google Reader and the
attempt
is not then resent when an error happens? ?

I am also getting intermittent updating. Usually works straight after
installing but
then it doesn't sync after that. If there is anything else I can do to help to
track
the bug, would be happy to.

(prssreader 1.4.4, PPC 2003, Ipaq 2210, cache on SD, sync over Wifi)

Same problem here. This is quite a dealbreaker for me. :(

prssreader 1.4.4, WM6.0, HTC Touch Pro 2, cache on SD, sync over Active Sync &
3G

I think it's because I've been trying to work with it offline. It doesn't cache
the
changes and then sync them when you connect again. If you maintain your
connection
while reading, then the changes are reflected in google immediately.

But it sort of defeats the point of having an offline reader. My battery goes
flat so
quickly because I have to have wifi on all the time.
