"Update on background" not work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open "Menu => Options => Retrieval"
2. Check the box to "Update on background"
3. Close the setting window
4. Re-enter the Retrieval tab, you will find that the "Update on 
background" is not checked. Se attached pictures for a demo of the problem.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The "Update on background" should keep checked until I change it.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
HTC Diamond, WM6.1

The control was not mapped to the variable.
