"Add flag" will open the item in browser when D-pad is used

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a feed item
2. Activate the "Menu", e.g. by tapping on it with a finger
3. Use the D-pad to activate "Add Flag" (press down, center)

What is the expected output?
Flag the item, close the menu.

What do you see instead?
Flags the item, closes the menu, but opens the item/URL in the browser.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.4.1, Win Mobile 2003 SE

Please provide any additional information below.
The issue was present in beta builds as well (see old mailing list). Some
other functions ("Close" in the error view, "Offline" -> "Work offline" in
the main menu) exhibit the same behavior.
