Cached images within feeds do not show when reading offline

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Add feed which includes images (e.g. 
http://rss.slashdot.org/Slashdot/slashdot).
2. Ensure feed is configured to "Cache images within the feed".
3. Connect online and update the feed (new items and images download).
4. Disconnect from internet and read items in feed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect to see the cached images displayed within the feeds.  
Instead I see red cross where the images should be.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
pRSSreader v1.4.1 running on Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional (HP iPAQ 212)

Please provide any additional information below.
Initially I thought all feeds suffered this issue but now I have seen that 
a lot of them do work.  The Slashdot feed is definitely one that dos not 
work.
