What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. _Unpack the QtWeb-elf386.zip application.
2. _Copy QtWeb file to /user/share/.
3. _Reboot

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
No output so far. I see a QtWeb file that is Slackware incompatible.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Current version.

Please provide any additional information below.

Salutations...

I used to use QtWeb in Windows many years ago with it's ".exe" extension.
It far surpassed Kemeleon (Gecko) the fastest Windows browser I ever used.
It is far more superior than Dillo (Webkit) the fastest Linux browser I ever
used.

I now use Porteus/LxQt (based on Slackware Linux) with it's ".xzm" extension.
Your open source creation is focused on Windows (.exe) and MacOS (FreeBSD).
And your Linux version is focused on distro's based on distro's like...
Debian (.deb)... Fedora/Redhat (.rpm) using your QtWeb-elf386,zip application.

I have been unsuccessful using your .zip application with 64bit Porteus/LxQt.
I can use your .exe in 64bit Wine but with an enormous performance hit.
I do not know how to compile source code or develop with Qt or Visual Studio.

For everyday use and for Privoxy + Polipo + Vidalia (Tor) I use Chromium.
I prefer to use a lightweight browser instead of a heavy or minimal one.
Most open source creations including "Chromium" (a heavyweight browser)...
post packages for download in ftp repositories or project hosts like Source
Forge.

If you post a Slackware ,tgz/.txz package I can convert to a .xzm module.
If you offer distro packages QtWeb would be a distro standard like Gparted.

Best Regards...

Trying the 3.8.5 ELF.zip version, latest, doesn't work with Slackware3.1
either unless I'm not doing something..
Changing the mod to 0755 with the QtWeb file in /usr/local/bin/ the opening
window is displayed immediately and all looks good __until__ I enter any URL or
click on any URL.. The round robin arrow circle appears and will run forever
whilst the pgm is trying to load something..

IMHO one possible solution is to post a Arch Linux (based on Slackware) package
(".txz"... please include ALL Arch Linux dependencies in the package) it is
compatable with Porteus and can be converted to a Porteus .xzm module. It
would help greatly if you post your creation to the pkgs.org package repository
under Arch Linux and Slackware.

I forgot to mention... someone ("cttan") posted your creation in the Porteus
Linux (porteus.org) forum in the request section... maybe you could download
and review what they did that successfully allows QtWeb to function in Porteus.
