I have the same problem, and am also on an Acer Aspire One. The problem occurs
regardless of what other settings are set to, whether pinch, momentum,
scrolling,
etc. are turned on or off, and no matter what the different finger presses are
assigned to. Adjusting the sensitivity also doesn't help--even when turned
down a
lot, it happens the same. In addition to differentiating between clicks and
scrolls,
I also have the problem of it registering multiple clicks (normally two,
sometimes
three) when I use one of the multi-finger taps.

So, I just read through the Thinkpad forum thread, and realized it might be
useful to
add some more information: I'm running XP SP3 with a touchpad v7.2 and driver
11.1.4.
I have some limited coding experience, and I'd be glad to help with testing or
anything, if that would be useful.
Great program! Thanks!

Same problem on a stock Samsung NC10 too. No matter the settings sometimes the
two
finger scroll is picked up as a two finger tap

I had the same problem until I changed the sensitivity in the synaptics control
panel
DOWN. It is 1 bar from all the way to the left. When it was at the most
sensitive,
it would do it much more frequently. Also, in the twofingerscroll program I
set both
"one + one" and two finger settings to right click and I get more consistent
right
clicks.

I had similar troubles on my Acer Aspire One/Windows XP, so I ended up using
one+one
finger right clicking (i.e. put one finger on the touchpad, and tap with the
other) and
two-finger scrolling.
