Feature flaw regarding class date and time clashing #3

As a teacher I can have multiple students taking the same class at the same time. Having to only be able to allocate each students to specific time does not allow me to label the class date of my students effectively and would allow me to only be able to keep track of who is in my class.

Since class date function does not allow addition of day date only, I can never be able to classify students of the same class under a section. Hence, this is a severe feature flaw.

Team's Response

As a teacher I can have multiple students taking the same class at the same time.

We specified that a class is one-to-one and our target group is a private teacher who teaches 1-1 classes. Therefore, it is not possible to have multiple classes at one slot, and this cannot be considered a featureFlaw.

Items for the Tester to Verify

 Issue response

Team chose [response.Rejected]

Reason for disagreement: During phase 1 of the exam, the product is tested from a user’s point of view.

While it is true that it is stated clearly in the developer guide, as a user, It is reasonable to say I would not be looking at the developer guide as I will not be interested in how to develop it further but rather I am only interested in using the product.

However, as a user, what is shown as the product description and value proposition in the user guide is as shown below

The stated target user was not clearly defined that it is only for those who teaches 1-1 classes.

Additionally, the other entry points in which the product is downloaded from is GitHub and the YouTube video provided in the README.md. However, these entry points also did not state that it is for those who teaches 1-1 classes as seen here

While there is a slight consolation in the sense that it is perhaps defined as a 1 liner under glossary when defining class date, it still holds true that it is not clearly defined in the user guide.

However, I understand the team’s standpoint as it is not within the team’s target user profile in DG. Hence, I agree that it is not a feature flaw taking into account what is stated in the DG. However, it believe that it is still regarded as a bug of Type:Documentation and Severity:medium as it causes occasional inconvenience to first-time users who attempts to use the product as it wasn’t stated clearly from any entry point that it is for 1-1 private tutors.

 Issue severity

Team chose [severity.Low] Originally [severity.Medium]

Reason for disagreement: When bug is regard as a bug of Type:Documentation

It should still be regarded as Severity:Medium as it causes occasional inconvenience to first-time users who attempts to use the product thinking that it is for all kinds of teachers as it is not stated clearly in the product description and value proposition of any possible entry point as a user.
