Villagers Disappearing

3 villagers have seemingly vanished. We thought possibly they were killed, but then we saw the 3rd one just actually disappear and his bed became unclaimed with no notification. Don't know what caused it.

If villagers somehow end up outside of the village at night they simply despawn, this can happen for several reasons. mainly running away from zombies. Once they're outside the village they can never find their own way in again.

I built my village over a ravine (covered with a thin layer of grass). Found out my farmers were glitching through the farmland and falling below into the ravine. Went mining and saw 3 of them and my missing druid down there starving.

Make sure your village is clear of traps like that and that the land around transitions in 1 block jumps so villagers can path find back home no matter where they wander off.

I would love it if when they decide that it's better for a villager to despawn (for example, when they're out of village boundaries) it would at least leave a message like "So and so was out of bounds" so you know they despawned, instead of having to search for whether or not they are still alive.

I had all 8 of my villagers just vanish mob proofed completely enclosed with 4 block tall walls all of them gone no deaths no starvation nothing

I have had 9 villagers vanish. At first I thought that they were dying and I was not getting the notification. Today server 1 had a series of crashes. This is in the 1.0.43 update. Naj came to look and could not see them either. 6 villagers vanished in the last few hours. Their beds are unclaimed most of the time. Sometimes beds will be reclaimed, then unclaimed again. I searched a 400 block area for them as well. I have a well lit village with fencing surrounding, with the exception of 1 area. My village is on 1 "MommaBear's Village"

I had about 70 yes seventy villagers disappear over the course of about 1 hour while working outside of my village border (about 20 to 50 blocks from the 120 block radius wall) and its not the first time its has happened about 4 days ago I had about 20ish disappear will working outside of my village border as well (ironically I'm building a new nicer village for my villagers) I have about 10-15 villagers right now that haven't disappeared even tho I have been constantly outside of the border. they haven't been dying the guards are still alive so mobs isn't the cause.

Half of my villagers have disappeared. A miner, two ranchers, a cleric. no telling how many guards and farmers. I received no death notification, they a just gone. Don't know if they despawned or just wandered off.

I had a miner and a lumberjack disappear during the same minecraft day without death notifications. I have received death notifications for every other villager who never came home, but not these 2.

went to the bathroom and came back in 3 Villagers are Dead 5 are missing where are they . my guard and miner are the only ones left . where are the 5 other villages just poof. and my other miner and my lumberjack went missing 2 days ago.. today 7.26/2019 i went to spawn and came back could see one trying to spawn in it was a villlager in green. on the stairs. 13457 69 -1443 town hotatlanta 1.0.76

I have had 4 miners disappear and was thinking it was just miners so looked why that could be and found that my pumpkin harvester was causing then to fall though the floor so I figured that if I moved it out of town they would be fine. well I do feel it made a difference but then my Bard disappeared..... My town is on a island and light up. No notifications that they died or anything.... so I put it on peaceful to see if they would still go missing.... But now I have lost 2 more Miners, 2 Farmers, and 1 Druid. I even got ride of all mods but Tektopia. I tried going back to an older version of Tektopia only one I could fine is V 1.0.93 but that made it worse in like a hour my town was down to only 2 villagers. Its a good thing I made a back up copy. Never had this problem before. Date 12/22/2021 Tektopia V 1.1.0 Town Name Paradise Island.

I’ve made several new games since the new update and every time after so long all the villagers in the game despawn. The only time I can find more is in new villages but shortly after finding them they too despawn.
