12 villagers is a 29% chance to get a pack you've been very unlucky getting 21 days of failure that's a 0.078% of happening.
I'm hoping #190 will help with finding them cause you might just have not seen them
But otherwise, this could be a more underlying bug since that seems extraordinarily unlikely, adding a "time since last nomad" chance increase might help though if it's not some more fundamental problem you're experiencing
Yea and nomads still haven’t come, 8 days later (29 days total). I’ve tried restarting the game and downloading the most recent jars.
I am on a single player world, and play on peaceful mode if that’s relevant? I have an underground base with my town hall and farms and everything at y level 11 with a single staircase for entry. The merchant walks down that staircase every day and the nomads used to as well (when they came the first few days I was starting my village) but they never come down it any more.
I noticed sometimes if I boot up my world in the morning (right when the merchant is spawning) I’ll get a “merchant failed to find village” error and he won’t show up, so I make sure to always quit out around mid day or night time because it seems the pathing needs some time (or something?) to figure out how to get to my town hall by walking down that long staircase.
Come to think of it, they haven’t arrived ever since I added stair blocks to it. Perhaps that’s the issue? I’ll try removing them and see.
If migrants can’t find their way to your village it would be nice to have a log message
it could be related to #51 I guess, but the nomads do announce when they can't get to the village (I have a point in range of my village that the only way to get to the village is to leave the path finding grid, the nomads tried to spawn there I think and I got a no route found... given your single path down you could do some redstone to capture anything trying to come to your village in a holding cell where you can use Iron doors to let them into your village this would mean you could never miss them.

Update: after removing the stairs I am getting migrants again! So it seems the issue was that migrants can’t path down long staircases (if you put stair blocks, it’s possible placement of the torches matters here?) if your town hall is underground but the merchant can.

This is very good to know, I'm glad you worked it out, I hope Tango finds a solution, if you could link to your save I'm sure Tango would be grateful (a copy from before you removed the stairs and after maybe?) I'm not sure you can upload directly to git at least not easily but give us your best shot and a link ;)

Describe the bug I’ve waited 21 in game days and the merchant comes every day but I seem to have gotten very unlucky and am not getting any nomads. I have 12 villagers but 6 open beds available, but this can just be very frustrating when you want to grow your village.
